I’ve seen a lot of minimalists stick to a personal “uniform.” I basically do the same, but I love teal and pink so I have 9 shirts, 4 fleece, 3 raincoats, 4 pairs of pants, and 2 “nicer” jackets that I rotate. Surround yourself with positivity and wear things you feel good wearing! Buy things that can be mixed and matched with multiple items in your closet so you don't have to buy new/new to you as oftenĪt the end of the day if people are judging you for wearing the same clothes week to week, they're probably not people you should have in your life to begin with. I tend to avoid unforgiving fabrics like denim, leather, or canvas-like textures (also because I hate feeling constricted in clothes). Other options would be things like wrap dresses, wide leg pants, draw string options, and anything stretchy (depending on how much your weight changes). ![]() I also have the same two or three pair of men's pajama pants that I've had for 10+ years that are a bit big on me but I love them, and I just wear an old T-shirt around the house. I do laundry maybe twice a week and I don't feel like I'm ever being judged for what I wear (and I see the same people at work every shift). I work in healthcare and have three of the same pair of pants and just rotate 5-6 tops (I only work three shifts in a row). I don't buy into fast fashion, and generally wear the same four or five pairs of shoes throughout the year (keeping dress shoes for special occasions). I wear a lot of solid color shirts and flowy blouses that are forgiving with weight changes and match everything. I love elastic waist joggers, yoga pants/leggings, and a really forgiving pair of Gap skinny jeans that are decently stretchy. ![]() Buying things that are elastic/adjustable can help greatly with weight fluctuations/bloat.
